GtkStatusIcon support

I'd like padevchooser to support GtkStatusIcon?. It integrates better with the status tray and enables transparency of the icon.

Please note I did not test notifications; I only verified the left-click menu still works.

I did not bother adding a right-click menu either.

Fixed in padevchooser SVN r24.

I dropped support for EggTrayIcon? entirely and made Gtk 2.10 a hard dependency.

Was this ever released? I'm using padevchooser 0.9.3 and cannot find a trace of 0.9.6 ... Mind releasing it? :-D

The milstone refers to the pulseaudio version, not the padevchooser version. padevchooser is now obsolete and no longer developed anyway.

By gnome-volume-control, gnome-volume-control-applet, pavucontrol etc. yes.

The things that are not currently present in such tools are popups, but this will be addressed eventually (I've got a branch that adds this support as a module, but until pulse integrates nicely with the glib mainloop, I'm struggling to accept feedback and actions input (although Ubuntu has totally broken this anyway - but it's not going to stop me implementing this support - they can go and patch it out of the way)
