Stream stops playing after a few seconds

I'm running Rythymbox 0.12.5 on Ubuntu 9.10 and I'm having problems using mt-daapd streams from my home server.

Sometimes (really a lot of times) the server is up and running, and the stream starts playing - then the sound just dies. If I check my network connection, the server is still sending the music, but I do get an error message in the syslog -

pulseaudio[2393]: ratelimit.c: 206 events suppressed

If I stop playback, wait a few moments and then restart playback it will sometimes fix itself. But everytime it stops playing, I get the message in the syslog.
