Volume range and increment

Using pulse 0.9.15 on ubuntu, digital optical out, all works fairly well with one complaint: The audible volume range corresponds only to about 50% volume to 100% volume, and perhaps related, the increment by which volume increases or decreases is too large. I understand this may be a side affect of attempting to create a sane baseline for disparate hardware, but is there anywhere I can tweak the upper/lower levels of pulse volume?

The mapping between % and dB has been reworked in .16 and should feel more natural now.
