Systemwide stuttering sound

Reported by: Solitary Man Owned by: lennart

Description

Hello. On my Fedora 10 (KDE) PC I can only hear stuttering sounds over pulseaudio whenever I try to listen to music (or watch a film). The stuttering occurs simply everywhere. When I choose my soundcard (HDA ATI SB (ALC660-VD Analog)) instead of pulseaudio in the multimedia setting as first device then I can listen to music without any stutterings. But there is the problem that I can only use one application which uses the soundcard so that is no real solution...

I'm really desperate cause i don't know how to fix this problem. I already read the "First steps" and "Perfect Setup" but i didn't find an answer there. I hope you can help me.

regards

Please don't use system mode. PA is designed to be run as part of the user session.

Does the problem also happen if you run PA as part of the user session?
